The design process for AV systems begins with the Schematic Design Development phase, where three meetings are held to determine system requirements, establish functional roles, and develop a budget. A floor plan showing device locations is created, and coordination with the Electrical Engineer ensures proper power and conduit details. Preliminary one-line diagrams and rack elevations are also developed. In the Design Development phase, the project is refined, resolving issues from the previous phase and providing the client with a clear understanding of system functionality. Presentations of AV solutions, preliminary drawings, and coordination of mechanical, acoustical, and visual elements are key tasks. The Construction Document phase then details one-line diagrams, mounting preparations, and equipment specifications, ensuring a seamless transition to construction.
